Shaker's Living Legend is out of Dolly and Leo. Dolly lies down for me to mount her and Leo is a 3 breed multi- World Champion. This is going to be one smooth, quiet guy. It is possible he will be stallion material. Legend is 1 week old here. He is a full brother to Baron, who is pictured below and they look exactly alike at this age. He is gorgeous. $2,500.
Youtube Video of Dolly laying down to mount - it is not me riding her, I am filming the video.

Indy is the fastest foal I have ever seen. She is out of Ms T.and Leo. Ms. T is the 2009 MFTHBA National Hunter Over Fences Champion as well as The 2009 Reserve World Champion - Hunter Over Fences. She is Top 10 in the World Overall Open Versatility Champion. She is also The Gaited Gala Overall Open Hi-point Versatility Champion as well as too many Top 5's and Top 10's to mention. Leo is the 2009 World Jumping Champion and in 2010 won more USEF competitions in Jumping, Hunter Over Fences, Hunter Hack and Hunter Pleasure than any other MFTHBA or SSHBEA horse in history. Leo is also the 2010 SSHBEA World Grand Champion and has 2 World Championships in that breed and is the 2011 Pinto (PtHA) World Amateur Jumping Champion. Indy is bred to win. She also leads, picks up her feet and is so sweet and pretty. Indy is a brick house. Wait until you see her move - when she is running in the video below - it is not sped up. $2,500.

Shaker's Groovin' Remix - Is a registered MFTHBA and can be registered as a Pinto and SSHBEA. He is HUGE. He is out of Summer our 2 time top 10 in the World mare who stands 15.3 hands tall and Leo - our history making stallion. His markings and conformation are perfect. He is a true black and white. He will be our biggest baby. He is bred to win and is currently still a colt. We have not gelded him yet. $3,500

Pocohontas is a sweet, gentle, athletic horse. I am hardly ever lucky enough to find a horse like her. She is Leo's full-sister (same Sire and Dam). She has no vices of any kind; perfect, sweet ground manners and is ready to start training. "Poco" is a true, shiny black (my favorite color). Her feet and legs are so good, that you only have to trim her feet once a year if you keep her barefoot in the pasture. This is the same with all of Pride's or Leo's offspring. She is 15 hands, MFTHBA registered, a 6 year old, un-bred mare. Poco is not mare-ish at all and much like her brother Leo; does not have a mean bone in her body. You will not find a prettier, better horse on the planet. Her full brother "Leo" won the MFTHBA World Jumping Championship at 4 years old, and went on the following year to win more USEF Championships in Jumping, Hunter Over Fences, Hunter Hack, Hunter Under Saddle and English Pleasure than any foxtrotter in history. SOLD

Cover Girl is named perfectly. She is lovely, as smooth as Dolly (the smoothest horse I have ever known) and so sweet and easy to handle. She is lightly started under saddle and is 3 years old and 14.3 hands (will be over 15 hands). She is Sinny's best friend. She has a wonderful, effortless foxtrot and it is really smooth. When she is running in the round pen - you can't hear her footfalls, she floats! Everyone that sees Cover Girl comments on her beauty and luckily her inside beauty matches her outside. I can rarely claim a 3 year old horse as a novice trail horse, but Cover Girl is. She is a true babysitter for any rider. She is so gentle and sweet - she will take care of you in any situation and is always quiet. You can ride her bride-less and bareback. I would trust her with any rider, even the greenest novice or my kids. She has now started jumping and has amazing potential. The picture above is her after a month of jumping going easily over 3 feet. Wow. $9,500

Isn't Precious Precious? She is out of Shaker's Spotted Pride (A World Champion
Sire) and half sister to Shaker's Jamaican Pride - a history-making stallion -
who is the first horse ever to win 3 separate breed World Championships (MFTHBA,
SSHBEA and PtHA). He has also won more USEF competitions than any other MFTHBA
or SSHBEA in history. Precious is 3 and is doing wonderfully under saddle. She
has been on many trail rides, is very calm and you won't find a smoother horse
anywhere. She flat-walks, regular trots, foxtrots and LOVES to canter. She is a
pleasure to have and ride and will carry most any level of rider on the trail -
even a novice. She is 14.3 and growing. Precious is sweet and she has the sought
after bay tobiano color with less white to keep clean. Great legs, feet and
conformation (like all Leo and Pride's foals). She is a registered MFTHBA and
can also be registered as a Pinto and SSHBEA. She has perfect feet, legs and
conformation. You only have to trim her 2 times a year. She would be easy to
train as a jumper - like her father and brother - they just have a natural
affinity for that. She is ready to have her own family to love. She has a lovely
way of going that you can watch in the video links, also please see TXMFT.com
for many more horses for sale. No reasonable offer will be refused as we are
having our worst drought in Texas history and hay is $170 per round bale. We
have World Champion Mares, Stallions and their babies and lots of videos of
them...Thank you and hope you have great day!
She has a lovely way of going that you can watch in the video link below. $2,900 OBO

"Pride" Pride's son Leo - Winning 4 Division Championships at the same USEF "B" show
Shaker's Spotted Pride is truly an amazing stallion. After only 3 months under saddle, being started at 11 years old - he won 3rd out of 12 horses at the 1st show he went to (USEF Class A). He then went on to win his first World Championship at the SSHBEA Sport Horse World Championship in barrels, and ended up taking home the SSHBEA Reserve World Champion High Point Overall stallion (coming in 2nd to Leo). He also won his first Open Jumping Division Championship in November. He is registered TWHBEA, MFTHBA, SSHBEA and Pinto. They do not allow Tennessee Walkers and Missouri Foxtrotters to be double registered anymore. He has the thickest, best bone I has ever seen. I do not shoe my horses and Pride's feet and legs are absolutely perfect and he passes this trait on to his offspring as Leo's are exactly the same. You never have to trim their feet. They grow so perfectly that they self-trim. I only have the farrier shape their feet before we go to a show - there is never anything to take off. Pride is completely sound in every way. He is thick, stocky and impressive. We are currently training him to jump and he is excelling at it. After only 2 weeks of training with Alexandra Cooper, he is jumping 3 feet. Pride won 3rd out of 13 horses in his first class at his first show (USEF class A) as well as 5th and 7th. We will be taking him the the SSHBEA World Show in November along with his son Leo (Shaker's Jamaican Pride). Leo (his 5 year old son) has won more USEF competitions than any other MFTHBA or SSHBEA horse in history - and he's just getting started. They are extreme athletes, strong, proud and handsome in every way. Pride almost always produces color - he will occasionally throw a black. $750 breeding fee which includes 2 weeks of mare care. Pride is in Liberty Hill, TX. He jumps 4'2". He is for sale for $25,000. This is a very good price for an amazing horse. He can give your kids jumping lessons or take them on a trail ride - anyone can ride this guy - even your husband. Only to a wonderful home, Pride is a love.

Shaker's Jamaican Rum - "Rummy" - is a 2 week old, MFTHBA colt. He is out of Shaker's Jamaican Pride and President's Sundust Princess - World Champion Stallion and a World Champion Mare plus many more wins listed under their pictures below. (They are both on the website if you scroll down this page). Isn't he a typey fellow? Looks like a half-arab or even a full-arab. Perfectly straight legs, lovely neck and ears. - just like all of Leo and Pride's babies I have seen. He is as sweet and friendly as he can be. Always has his head hung over your shoulder - wondering what is going on with you. He will be a winner in the ring for sure or just a great trail buddy - or how about competitive trail on a nice smooth horse? $3,500

Tango is absolutely gorgeous. He is a registered very well-bred, AQHA, 3 year old, 14.2 hand gelding. He belongs to Christie - the amazing trainer shown here. He has 3 months under saddle and is as quiet and sweet a horse as I have ever seen. Tango gives to the bit, comes off your legs, stands quietly to mount and has perfect ground manners (as do all Christie's horses). He has the cool tiger stripes on his legs and is the much-sought-after dun color. You can see his back stripe in the picture below. He will be your family horse or show horse forever...you will never sell this guy. $5,500 SOLD!

Baron is our first foal out of Dolly and Leo. He couldn't be any more beautiful. He is on the right. Perfectly straight legs (like all of Leo's foals thus far), fantastic disposition and he is big. Dolly is the smoothest horse alive. He has her gait and sweet temperament. See Dolly's pictures and video below (she lies down for me to mount her). Baron's Sire Shaker's Jamaican Pride aka "Leo" won the MFTHBA World Jumping Championship at 4 years old, and went on the following year to win more USEF Championships in Jumping, Hunter Over Fences, Hunter Hack, Hunter Under Saddle and English Pleasure than any foxtrotter in history. Baron has been gelded and is very quiet and sweet. He will be the quietest trail horse you could have. Nothing fazes this fellow. He is also gorgeous. $ 4,500 OBO

JAKS - J.A.K.S is Reserve World Champion at Jumping and Hunter Hack as well as many Top 5's and Top 10's. She is a lovely 15.1 hand palomino MFTHBA (Missouri foxtrotter) mare. JAKS is set in her gaits and a pleasure to ride. She has a great mind. JAKS foxtrots and is oh-so-sweet and calm. She is much darker gold than this picture shows and is dappled. She can jump 4 feet and has a lot of heart. She is a gorgeous, amazing, athletic gal. JAKS won reserve champion at Hunter Over Fences at the National Spring Show at Ava Mo, placing 2nd to Ms T. JAKS also won 1st place at Hunter Over Fences at the Gaited Gala and many top 5's. There is not a bumpy bone is JAKS's body ( as you can tell by the videos). She is a cadillac all the way and all of my trainer's favorite horse to ride. She is light on the bit and a joy to handle. She is also a very loving horse. $ 15,000

Leo is unbelievable. He is the 2009 World Jumping Champion. He is the 2010 SSHBEA World Grand Champion Overall High Point Stallion and the 2011 Pinto (PtHA) Amateur World Jumping Champion. He has won more USEF and Open Jumping Shows than any MFTHBA (Missouri Foxtrotter) or SSHBEA (Spotted Saddle Horse) in history. In just the last 5 open jumping shows he won 18 first places, 8 division championships, 8 -2nd places, 22-top 5's and 5 top 10's (USEF "B" "AA" and open shows). He is also Top 10 in the World Overall Open Versatility Champion (MFTHBA) and 6th in the PtHA (Pinto) Overall High Point Versatility in his division. He is triple registered MFTHBA, Pinto and Spotted Saddle Horse. His Grandsire sold for $60,000. He can do anything and just turned 5 years old. Leo placed top 10 in the Championship 4 year old stallions and geldings class at the 2009 National Spring Show in Ava, MO. He also placed top 5 in Hunter Over Fences and had many other top 5's and top 10's. This was his first big show and I am very proud of him. He jumps 3'10" feet tall and 6 feet wide. He is an amazingly calm, sweet, naturally gaited, smooth , athletic and colorful registered Missouri Foxtrotter, Pinto and SSHBEA Stallion. His registered name is Shaker's Jamaican Pride (MFTHBA #05-87770) He had one baby last year, a lovely tri-colored bay and white fox-trotter filly (pictures on Leo's page). The shipper that brought Leo here from MO, said that he is the best stallion he has ever hauled - he stood quietly next to another stallion the whole ride... never making a peep. You would not guess he is a stallion when you handle him unless you bring a mare over to his pasture to say "Hello" - and even then he is kind to the ladies and a consummate gentleman. Since we are trail riders -we care first about a horse's great mind and quietness (necessary for safety on the trails), second conformation, and lastly color - but with Leo you can have it all! This is his coat color in the summer in Texas and he is not stalled. He is a non-fading black and white. He is kept in a pasture with a mare or gelding all the time so is well socialized and kind to all other horses and is a pleasure to handle. He is smooth and effortless to keep in his gaits. The "Leo's Gaits & Tricks" video shows the 2nd time we have ridden him since he got here 2 weeks ago. He had just bred Amira 10 minutes before we saddled him up and made this video and he was not exercised first (he also hadn't been ridden for a week). If you are interested in breeding to him please email me. His fee is $950 and he only pasture breeds. We are in love with Leo. I hope you will be too. He is versatile, kind, gentle, gorgeous and loves the ladies! Please book early as he will only breed 10 outside mares in 2010. Discount for multiple mares. $750 breeding fee, includes 2 weeks of board and pasture breeding.

Sinny is a 3 1/2 year old very large, stocky, palomino, blue-papered, MFTHBA Missouri foxtrotter filly. She will be at least 15 hands and is already gorgeous. Her great Grandad is Southern Sunrise and she also has Missouri's Cassey Jones and Southern Jazz on her papers. Sinny foxtrots like a dream. She is going very well under saddle now and is a smooth as silk. She has the most wonderful gaits I have ever seen. Her foxtrot is totally natural and smooth! Sinny will not do a bumpy gait. ALL her gaits are smooth. We are currently trail riding her. She knows all her basics. She could be your next show horse, smooth trail horse or jumper. She is very athletic and sweet. She is started under saddle and doing really well. She is a natural, effortless jumper and LOVES it! She is the 2011 MFTHBA World Jumping Champion. $ 15,000 OBO

Summer is so lovely and calm. She is 45years old and quiet, quiet, quiet. She foxtrots, head-nods and competed at the 3 year old futurity in 2009, narrowly missing a top 10 (She came in 11th). She is a very dark gold even in this hot Texas summer. Summer won Top 10 in the World at Barrels, Poles, and Stakes in 2009 - it was only her 2nd show! . She jumps 2 feet after just 3 tries at jumping and would excel at this - in fact she will do well at anything you ask of her. She has no vices and is not mareish. She is bred to Leo for a 2011 foal. Summer is willing and sweet and gets along well with the other horses. She is so sensible and gorgeous. She is 15.3 hands tall. Summer is so quiet - she is already a novice horse. We will be teaching her to jump next year as she would excel at it with a little more training. Summer is truly one of the greatest horses ever. $ 15,000

Princess is a precious gal that we saw in MO at the Spring Show 2 years ago and had to bring her to Texas. She is now the Pinto Youth World Jumping Champion. She is a 6 year old mare, 15 hands, stocky, pretty, smart and colorful. She is a blue-papered, MFTHBA, SSHBEA & Pinto. She follows you around in the pasture - she is so sweet and jumps 4'5" feet. In her last 2 open jumping shows - she won 12 first places and 8 division championships. She is competing at 4'-4'3" courses successfully. She truly is a Princess and a lady. Princess is the 2010 Reserve World Champion Amateur Cutting and Amateur Versatility Ranch with Cheryl Brock, 4th in The World Amateur Reining, and 7th in the World Overall Amateur Versatility Champion. She is also the 2009 Overall Grand Champion Youth Horse and Overall Grand Champion Versatility Horse at the Florida Foxtrotter Association State Championship Show. Princess is bred to Leo for a lovely, colorful, 2010 baby. She is the sweetest horse here, following you around the pasture and is kind to the babies and other horses. Princess is the horse that keeps you in the barn just a little longer when you know it is time to leave - she is so pretty you can't stop looking at her. $75,000 firm

Ms T is unreal. She is as nice of a horse as ever walked the face of the earth. She is as good as Cory, Dolly or Gambler. She is quiet, loving and you can put any rider on her and she will take care of them like they are her foal. She is also smooth, set in her gaits, neck-reins, jumps and will drive your car (almost). I am in no hurry to see her go (you never are with a horse like this). Everyone wants to ride her. There is no better horse on the face of the earth. She will be competing at jumping and trail at the Ava show in MO this year. She took 3rd and 4th place at her 1st hunter jumper show at 2'7" and below. She is now jumping 3'6" and will be shown at class A jumping shows as well as the "Gaited Gala" in Athens TX. Ms.T and J.A.K.S. would already make wonderful children's hunter jumper horses - they are that quiet and relaxed after a jump. Ms T. won champion at Hunter Over Fences at the National Spring Show 2009 in Ava, MO. She placed reserve champion at Hunter Hack. She won Champion Power Jumping at her first Class A Jumping Show in Waco TX, beating out 17 massive, well-trained warmbloods. $15,000

Pistol is the nicest guy ever. I bred and raised him and he has always been loving, easy to catch and handle. We imprinted him when he was born and he has been professionally handled and trained ever since. He is only 3 years old and is as calm and level-headed as Cory, my fantastic grey arab. He knows everything and then some...
Pistol leads, ties well, loads in any trailer, stands well for the farrier and has no vices of any kind (in fact, he is my farrier's favorite horse to trim!) Pistol is 3 years old and has 90 days professional training with Christie (the greatest trainer in the world) and many miles of trail experience already. We ride him out in groups and alone and he is very calm. We don't work him (or any of the horses for that matter) before we ride them even if it has been a week and Pistol is totally calm, almost to the point of being lazy. He'd rather just walk along than get all excited. He is practically a novice horse already. He is sound and healthy and still growing -15 hands already and will grow taller and fill out even more. I wonder why I am selling him at all. Pistol is a registered half-arabian (half foxtrotter) but is not gaited (he is VERY SMOOTH though) especially at the canter. He gives to the bit, comes off your legs, walks, trots and canters and lets you go under his stomach. He also knows his leads. You will have and love this nice guy forever. We were riding Pistol this week thorough the river and he LOVES to swim! We hadn't ridden him for 2 weeks and did not work him (we never do) and after he enjoyed a nice swim in the river up to his chest, we took him over a huge tarp for the first time, rode him backwards for the first time, rode him backwards over the tarp (1st for any of us), stood up on him with no reins and slid off his behind. He stood stock still the entire time. Pistol is amazing. You must see the 2 videos of us doing all these things with him and how he takes such careful care of Ali the whole time. I can claim him as a safe family horse even at 3. He is close cousin of Cory my all time favorite horse.
Here is a new video of Pistol - we did everything we could think of - riding backwards, crossing a tarp, standing on him and sliding off his behind to see if he was bothered - I'm not going to tell you what happened - you'll have to see for yourself. Did Ali survive? Did he cross the tarp? Watch and see (click on the picture below)...
$3,500 Pistol is SOLD to Vicki, my dear friend who will ride him, love him and show him. Thank you Todd and Vicki - you are the best.

Dolly is as close to perfect of a horse as I have ever known - she is also the smoothest horse you will ever ride - guaranteed. Dolly is a registered, blue-papered Missouri Foxtrotter mare, 15 hands, dark golden palomino and she is 12 years old. Dolly has never had a lame or unwell day in her life and I have owned her for 6 years. She is trained to lie down so you can mount and has done this with me many times. She will lay down anywhere, anytime - all you have to do is tap her on her leg with a whip. You would need to be under 150 pounds for her to do this easily. You can ride her western, english and bareback with a halter. Dolly LOVES the water and will cross anything you point her at. She will walk slowly with the quarter horses or faster with the gaited horses. She is the best of all worlds - calm yet responsive. She is naturally gaited and never comes out of her gait. She is effortless to ride. Dolly neckreins, backs, comes off your legs, responds to voice commands, lies down for you to mount and has perfect ground manners at all times. I handle and ride her and I am in a wheelchair. She is suitable for any rider, anytime and I put beginners on her for long trail rides even if she hasn't been ridden in months. She is the most honest horse you will ever meet. The only reason I am selling her is because my accountant says I have to show a profit sometime. My daughter is learning to ride on Dolly - she is worth her weight in gold. $ 30,000 Click here for Dolly's page.

How lovely is Pat Jones Rawhide? She is a registered, blue-papered foxtrotter 5 year old mare. She is 15 and a half hands tall (with a stick) and a very calm and great trail horse. She is a deep shiny gold color. "PJ" crosses water or anything you point her at. She is seasoned for a 5 year old and has been on many trail rides and often spends the weekend at Brandi's big beautiful ranch in Fredricksburg and rides the range all day. She is very well-mannered all the time and respectful of your space. She comes off your legs, neck-reins, backs, side-passes, parks out for you to get on, trots, canters, gaits and can fly a rocketship to the moon (practically). She will look at things, but is calm and brave. She will go out alone (see videos), but LOVES to go out on long rides with her friends. She is extremely athletic and balanced in all her gaits and can flat out move in the pasture. PJ can do anything. She used to belong to me, so I know her very well, PJ is too nice a riding horse to sit around in a pasture all day. She is a horse to love forever and she is sweet and fun to handle and ride. Please see the videos. PJ was not worked before we rode her in the videos. She was taken straight from the pasture, saddled up and off Brandi went. The part where she is running free was taken AFTER we rode her all around. She is in perfect health, sound and easy to handle. No vices of any kind. She is worth her weight in gold. $6,500 SOLD!
You can view videos of Pistol's mom PJ at www.Ehorsevideos.com for a minimal fee.

Here is Pistol, PJ's (shown above) very first baby. Isn't he handsome? He knows it! Pistol hit the ground running. He can really move and he looks to be very smooth. He is a registered Half-arabian. His legs are perfectly straight, his head is beautiful and he has a kind eye - also he will be very smooth and a great horse, like his mom and dad. He is out of PJ and my stallion Lord of Nights (Toby). They are both great riding horses and have sweet, willing temperaments. Pistol is 1 and a few months in these pictures - he has a beautiful blaze and 2 white socks. He has an excellent, sensible mind and learns quickly. He leads calmly, loads, catches easily ties and behaves very well at everything. He is a VERY nice horse. He is 14.3 hands now and will mature to over 15 hands. See ad for Pistol as he is older at the top of this page for recent price.

Here is my favorite foal imprinting preview video starring Lessye Joy DeMoss and Bono (for WMV 4MB) - Get the very best out of your baby! This wonderful video preview shows how to lead a foal with your hands for the first time and lay your baby down to imprint them. Lessye Joy has been training young horses for 20 years - now you get to learn from the best. She trained Pistol and Lady for me and has worked with my horses for 10 years and counting...
If you have a horse in North Carolina that needs some training or a fun group to ride with please see www.drysdalehorsemanship.com for more information.
No trades for any reason. Thank you.
Here is a recent letter I got from Leslie, a wonderful lady who was having some problems with her horse and ended up sending him to Christie. Letters like this and the people I get to work with are really the reason I do this - aside from trying to find the right home for the right horse.

Francine Dismukes and Malen Dell are the trainers who taught Cory and Dolly to lie down for mounting. They did this with great care, patience and kindness. They are 2 of the top trainers in the world with wins in the show ring that are way too numerous to mention all on one page. Some of the more recent are 3 Championships and 6 Reserve Championships at Andalusian Nationals and this happens every year. Francine is an international judge for many breeds of horses. She judges all over the world. She judged Arabian Youth Nationals 2003. She is so well known in the Arabian industry, that 10 years ago (or so) Circle Y asked her to design a saddle that they could put her name on and it is still manufactured by Circle Y today. She is as well-known and well-respected in the horse industry as any great trainer can be and she is a horse-advocate and friend. Both Malen and Francine are also just "plain old good folks". You like them the minute you meet them. Thank you so much for your friendship and help over the years and for taking on a big risk with me without one word of complaint; and for the many laughs we've shared. Francine and Malen always have a barn full, but they also take outside horses to train and show - any breed and most disciplines (not involving cows).
Long Video of Celebration for high speed internet
Shorter video of Celebration for low-speed, but will take 20 minutes or so (it is worth it though)
We sure had fun at the Celebration in Colorado and it was nice to be out of the Texas heat in August. We had the pleasure of spending some time with many accomplished horse-people, including John Lyons (picture below), Francine, Ann and Thunder, and the whole crew with the Black Stallion (what an amazing show if you get a chance to see it) as well as many of the great arabian breeders and trainers. Thank you for all the good times! Cory did so well and helped me along as I was a nervous wreck, but with him and Francine and Karen to help, we made it through the shows. They are putting the Arabian Horse Celebration as the first show on a new series on the RFD channel about Arabian horses so keep your eyes open if you watch that channel (and please contact me if you see it, so I can look for it!) We were truly honored to be a part of such a wonderful, positive horse experience - and arabians are very special horses. The videos above show some of the highlights of the show. I did not take the footage, Bill Shepard of Castlewood Video Productions did a fantastic job of filming the event, I edited it for the web and put some music and titles to his amazing footage. I recommend him if you want your horse show filmed. Thank you to The Arabian Horse Owners Foundation for putting it together and showing us the extraordinary beauty and versatility of the fantastic Arabian Horse.

I try my best to respond to you the same day. Your time is the most valuable thing in the world, and if you take the time out to write me, the least I can do is respond promptly. If you do not receive an email back within a day or so, please call me at 512-743-8222. Sometimes spam blockers may block my response and I have no way to get back to you. So keep trying, if you email me I will always respond.
I started this website to promote horses, the love of them and trail riding. If you want to ride horses, you should and can!. I have no use of my legs, am in a wheelchair and trail ride everywhere. Please see the bottom of this page for pictures and a link to a video of Cory and Dolly lying down so we can go for a ride. I am also listing some of my friends horses for sale so keep checking back for some great trail horses. I am trying to get down from 7 to 5 horses and then I won't have any more for sale of my own, but my friends are all asking me to list theirs for them so please post this page to your favorites and check back often. I am typically negotiable on my prices so please do not be afraid to make me an offer. The absolute best care is taken of all my own horses, current, shots, coggins, West Nile vaccinations, dental work, regular trimming, and they are professionally trained and ridden, except when us beginners are flopping around on them all over the neighborhood and they take good care of us. They are exposed to many scary things, dogs, cars, trucks, flags, playscapes, and every type of trash can known to man. They are all barefoot and do very well on the rocks. If you feel like giving me some information on your riding skill level and what type of riding you'd like to do, I'd be happy to recommend the best fit for you horse-wise. Discounts for politeness. Further discounts for keeping the horses barefoot and in a pasture rather than a stall. Even more discounts if you buy 2 or more horses. I began keeping my horses the natural way - taking off their shoes and keeping them with other horses in pastures instead of stalls - about a year and a half ago and they all all so healthy and happy. My friends are doing this too now and it WORKS. There is a fantastic book called, "A Lifetime of Soundness" by Dr Strasser and it explains this in detail. It is also an interesting read .

www.flyingfree.org This is a wonderful handicapped riding facility near Galveston Texas. If you need any information on other facilities or a good place to start riding again if you have physical disabilities HERE IT IS. I have spoken to Donna there a few times and she is a lovely, caring person. There is a waiting list, so call soon to get on it.
Please feel free to call or write most any reasonable time of day or night. If you are interested in seeing more of any of the lovely horses listed here, I would be happy to send you a full-length video free of charge, just e-mail or call and give me your full name, address and the horses you would like to see more of and I will get it right out to you. I am not a "horse-trader" I am a trail rider and the horses I have I know very well and have usually had for years. I am in a wheelchair and ride all over the place, so riding is possible for anyone as long as you have the right horse to do it on. I believe that you should know the good and bad about any horse you are thinking about for yourself or your family so you can make an informed decision. I have heard some nightmarish stories about people drugging horses or giving them natural calmatives to make them appear relaxed when you see them or try them. This is abominable and I don't even own any of these things. I do not work them hard or tire them out before you try them either or before I make the videos. I want you to ride the horse that you will be riding a year from now. I do not abuse my horses in any way and do not own a twitch. It may take a little longer to trim them initially, but they learn they have nothing to fear and come to like it later. I also believe that what comes around goes around and live by that rule. Thank you for taking a look and please come back soon.
disclaimer- All information provided is to the best of my knowledge, but as with any live animal, anything can happen at any time. There are no guarantees or warranties either expressed or implied on any of the horses for sale. All Sales are final. As horses are very large animals with minds of their own, Great Trail Horse, Greattrailhorse.com and Kirsten Klindworth are not liable for any injuries or accidents occurring from any horses listed on this site. All horses, bought or tried, on this website are at your own risk. I do however, try to match the right horse to the right person and have been successful at this and have many people that come back to look for their second and third horse (like Bob, Shirley and Mary Ellen to name a few) because they know that I am very honest and upfront about my horses.
transportation information - Transporting horses is easier and cheaper than you may think. They get to ride in huge semi trailers with air-ride shocks and you can even buy then a 10 by 10 stall to ride in for a few extra $$. It usually costs between $400 to $800 depending upon how far you are from Texas and the price of gas these days. Contact me for more information and a great transportation company .
