Shaker's Jamaican Pride (Leo) - & Shaker's Spotted Pride (Pride)

Shaker's Jamaican Pride (who we affectionately call "Leo") is just starting his jumping career and has already broken records. He is the 2009 World Jumping Champion. He has won more USEF and Open Jumping Shows than any MFTHBA (Missouri Foxtrotter) or SSHBEA (Spotted Saddle Horse)  in history.  In just the last 5 open jumping shows he won 19 first places, 10 division championships, 8 -2nd places, 22-top 5's and 5 top 10's (USEF "B" "AA" and open shows). He is also Top 10 in the World Overall Open Versatility Champion (MFTHBA) and 6th in the PtHA (Pinto) Overall High Point Versatility in his division. He is triple registered  MFTHBA, Pinto (PtHA)and Spotted Saddle Horse (SSHBEA).  He jumps 4 feet high and 6 feet wide. He is an amazingly calm, sweet, naturally gaited, smooth , athletic and colorful. His foals have all had perfectly straight legs and amazing conformation as well as being stunningly beautiful.  His feet are so perfect that he only needs to be trimmed once a year and he passes this on to his offspring. He competes barefoot. The shipper that brought Leo here from MO, said that he is the best stallion he has ever hauled - he stood quietly next to another stallion the whole ride... never making a peep.  Since we are trail riders -we care first about a horse's great mind and quietness (necessary for safety on the trails), second conformation, and lastly color - but with Leo you can have it all!  He is a non-fading black and white. He is kept in a pasture with a mare or gelding all the time so is well socialized and kind to all other horses and is a pleasure to handle. He is smooth and effortless to keep in his gaits. If you are interested in breeding to him please email me. His fee is $950 and I provide a live foal guarantee.  We are in love with Leo. I hope you will be too. Even if you don't jump, you still get a baby with the best breeding, feet, legs, conformation, beauty, versatility and kind temperament that you could possibly imagine with the strong possibility of color. Discount for multiple mares. $950 breeding fee until 2011 when his breeding fee will most likely increase - so book now. Fee includes 2 weeks of board and a live foal guarantee.

Leo  is very well bred from the "Shaker" lines which are rare and sought after.  He is blue papered and his pure-bred foals are register-able as MFTHBA horses and most likely Pinto and Spotted Saddle Horses if they are spotted. If bred to an Arabian mare his foals are register able as half-Arabians. If bred to an un-registered mare and he produces a spotted foal it can be registered as a Pinto and/or Spotted Saddle Horse. He produces color 50% of the time. Pride produces spots almost always - with the occasional solid black.

His breeding fee is $950. Multiple mare discount. Kirsty@greattrailhorse.com

Shaker's Spotted Pride ~Pride~

Shaker's Spotted Pride is truly an amazing stallion. After only 3 months under saddle, being started at 11 years old - he won 3rd out of 12 horses at the 1st show he went to (USEF Class A). He then went on to win his first World Championship at the SSHBEA Sport Horse World Championship in barrels, and ended up taking home the SSHBEA Reserve World Champion High Point Overall stallion (coming in 2nd to Leo).  He also won his first Open Jumping Division Championship in November. He is registered TWHBEA, MFTHBA, SSHBEA and Pinto. They do not allow Tennessee Walkers and Missouri Foxtrotters to be double registered anymore.  He has the thickest, best bone I has ever seen. I do not shoe my horses and Pride's feet and legs are absolutely perfect and he passes this trait on to his offspring as Leo's are exactly the same. You never have to trim their feet. They grow so perfectly that they self-trim. I only have the farrier shape their feet before we go to a show - there is never anything to take off. Pride is completely sound in every way. He is thick, stocky and impressive. We are currently training him to jump and he is excelling at it. After only 2 weeks of training with Alexandra Cooper, he is jumping 3 feet. Pride won 3rd out of 13 horses in his first class at his first show (USEF class A) as well as 5th and 7th. We will be taking him the the SSHBEA World Show in November along with his son Leo (Shaker's Jamaican Pride).  Leo (his 5 year old son) has won more USEF competitions than any other MFTHBA or SSHBEA horse in history - and he's just getting started.  They are extreme athletes, strong, proud and handsome in every way. $950 breeding fee which includes 2 weeks of mare care. Pride is currently near Cleveland OH. He jumps 3'9".

Articles of Leo -

MFTHBA Newsletter

December 2010 - Vol 1, Issue 2

Missouri Fox Trotter Sire and Son Winners at SSHBEA Sport Horse Show

jumping 12_10      A Missouri Fox Trotter was named the 2010 SSHBEA Sport Horse Overall High Point Grand Champion Stallion, beating out his sire, who was named 2010 SSHBEA Sport Horse Overall High Point Reserve Grand Champion Stallion, at the 2010 Spotted Show Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' Association (SSHBEA) Sport Horse World Championship Show held at Shelbyville, Tenn., on November 5-6. Both stallions are owned by Kirsten Klindworth of Liberty Hill, Tx.

Shaker's Jamaican Pride, "Leo," captured the High Jumping Championship and the Reserve World Championship in Open Jumping on his way to the Grand Championship. He also attained his first Youth World Championship in jumping, winning by less than a second. "It was Leo's first time to compete in a youth division with 17-year-old Ashley Bradshaw. They went FLYING around the arena! It was truly a barrel race with jumps thrown in. It was one of the most spectacularly exciting things I have ever seen," said Klindworth.

In only his third time to show, Shaker's Spotted Pride, "Pride," was ridden by Dr. Alexandra Cooper to win the barrel racing class and his first World Championship. "The most amazing part is that I recently bought Pride, and he had had no prior training. He didn't even know how to lead correctly," said Klindworth. "The win was in an event we had never seen before--the horses had to saddle gait around the barrels. It is essentially a speed event that is also judged." Although he had never been asked to do this before, Pride never broke stride and had the fastest speed, beating out 12 experienced horses.

Klindworth is proud of her stallions. "There were over 500 horses competing only in versatility. The gaited horses at the SSHBEA World Show are every bit as fast and agile as the horses we faced at the Pinto World Championship earlier in the year, where we competed against every spotted horse in the world--not just the saddle horse division," said Klindworth.

"Also, it isn't every day that you see two stallions (father and son) competing against each other in the same classes. They fought hard for every point at this very competitive show," Klindworth said. "I think (the results) speak volumes for the amazing temperament of our Fox Trotter breed and their athletic ability."

Leo's 1st baby (a filly) from 2008-

Shaker's Jamaican Pride and Dolly's 1st baby is below. How amazing is he? Shaker's Gold Baron  is a buckskin tobiano with perfectly straight legs and both of his parent's calm, kind eyes and personality. He has perfect conformation and is huge. These pictures were taken at 1 week old. He has more than doubled in size 1 month later. Baron is not currently for sale.

About Me:
Kirsten Klindworth  - I have been riding, breeding, training, handling, marketing, appraising, showing, loving and (more recently) driving horses for 35+ years. I now own, helped train and am fortunate enough to breed the horse who has won more USEF Championships than any other MFTHBA (Missouri Foxtrotter) or (SSHBEA)Spotted Saddle Horse in history. He is also the 2009 MFTHBA World Jumping Champion, the 2010 SSHBEA World Grand Champion Stallion, 2010 SSHBEA Youth World Jumping Champion, Open High Jumping Champion and 2011 Pinto PtHA, Amateur World Jumping Champion - Shaker's Jamaican Pride - and many Reserve Champion Mares as well as Top 5 and Top 10 winners. Horses have filled my life with joy, humor, love and compassion and I believe that they deserve the same in return. "Horses will give you so much more with their heart than you can ever win with fear" is my motto. I created www.Greattrailhorse.com 10 years ago and now hope to share any extra horse-knowledge I have (mostly accidentally) acquired throughout the years with you on www.EHorseVideos.com . Many happy trails to you!
